George Lucas once said that, "sound is fifty percent of the movie‑going experience." We believe that drinking good wine is fifty percent of the dining experience.

The Champany cellar and by virtue the Champany Wine List are ever-changing and developing. Our Cellarmaster and sommelier taste, select and carefully cellar every wine on the list; a list which is curated to complement our menu. Family history accounts for the backbone of the list being South African.

Over many years Clive Davidson built relationships with independent producers from his homeland, South Africa.

Great Cabernet Sauvignon from Thelema and De Trafford, Bordeaux blends including Cobbler's Hill from Jordan and Paul Sauer from Kanonkop, Pinotage from Simonsig and Spier ensure that Stellenbosch takes its rightful place on the list.

The elegant Pinot Noirs and Chardonnays from the Hemel-en-Aarde producers include Newton Johnson, Hamilton Russell and Creation. New discoveries and rediscoveries from the bush vines of the Swartland, include Eben Sadie's Coulmella and Palladius.

Sauvignon Blancs from the southern surburbs of Constantia and the elegant and sophisticated wines of Franschoek.

The great wine producing regions of the world are all represented.

From Burgundy the great houses of Domaine Tollot-Beaut, Domaine Dujac and Domaine de la Romanée-Conti are represented. From Bordeaux we offer a broad selection of small, independent château to the famous and prestigious "first growths".

We also represent the great names of the Rhone: from Côte-Roti, Châteauneuf-du-Pape and Condrieu. From the rest of France we showcase the great Alsace vineyards of Trimbach and Maison Hugel, the Loire Valley with Henri Bourgeois Sancerre and Thierry Germain located in Samur-Champigny.

Spain, Portugal and Southern Europe are well represented on the list; both famous and long established bodegas of Spain including La Rioja Alta and Castillo Ygay and the exciting wines hailing from Alentejo and the Douro. Italy features strongly with great wines including Barolo and Chianti and great producers such as Antinori and Ornellaia.

Names such as Ben Glaetzer and Jim Barry dominate the Australian list. New Zealand is represented by fabulous barrel fermented Sauvignon Blancs, cracking Otago Pinot Noirs and Bordeaux Blends from Hawkes Bay.
