The Scott Monument

The Gothic Monument in the Centre of Edinburgh.

20 minutes by train.

Back in the centre of Edinburgh a fantastic view of both the Old and New towns can be gained by climbing the steps of the Scott Monument on Princes Street.

Designed by George Meikle Kemp and built from stone quarried at Binny Craig, the sandstone lump that can be seen from the window of the Champagne Bar at Champany.

A small museum at the centre of the tower tells the story of Sir Walter Scott himself. An advocate, poet, author. His story is part of Scotland's story.
